Ordnance Survey has had a programme of research using deep learning for landscape understanding and mapping since 2015. In this seminar we will hear about the current - and potential - close collaborations they have built with universities and over different technological options to respond quickly to customer requirements.

The approach also allows for more exploratory understanding of the landscape and we will embark on more research in this area in the coming year. Isabel will tell the story of the research, the collaborations and some of the technological pains, and outline our future ambitions for this programme of research.
