DSNE seminar with Alessandro Gimona, James Hutton Institute
Woodland expansion is a high priority topic for the Net-Zero emissions policy agenda. However, carbon is only one aspect of the expansion question. We analyse where there could be multiple benefits and where there might be disbenefits and suggest an approach to integrate the spatial information and explore how different priorities results in different expansion options.
Alessandro is a senior landscape scientist at the James Hutton Institute coordinating research on the environmental consequences of land use and climate change.
