The Future of Sustainability in Business | Strategy, Biodiversity and Transitions

An afternoon of talks and networking by the Post Graduate Sustainability in Business Network

Speaker information and talk topics:

Our first speaker is Dr Jan Bebbington, Rubin Chair in Sustainability in Business and Director of the Pentland Centre. Jan will briefly outline what she sees as the emerging areas of strategic interest for sustainability in business and will then take questions and open up the topic for discussion.

Our second speaker Dr Neytullah Ciftci, Research Associate in Business and Biodiversity, will be giving a talk on "business engagement with biodiversity through the world of corporate reporting".

The third speaker Camillo Cornejo Martinez is a Lancaster Law PhD student studying the evolution of the international regulatory framework of Just Transition within the context of climate conflict. In Camillo's talk he will explore how companies are facing claims on sustainability transitions using the Human Rights and Environmental Justice framework.

This event is run by the Post Graduate Sustainability in Business Research Network, which has been put together to connect researchers working on related topics across the university. To find out more about the network please join the teams group.

Light refreshments will be provided and researchers will have the opportunity to both join the network and contribute ideas to what they would like from the network.
