Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

I chose to study at LUMS because I fell in love with the university on the open day! Everyone in the department seemed lovely (and it turns out they really are!). There are lots of great facilities on campus for both study and extracurricular activities, and I loved that there were students from all over the world as it makes for a much better, more interesting experience.

What was the best thing about your course?

The best thing about the course was that we had many opportunities to put the theory we had learned into practice - I completed three projects for external clients during the course, which also teaches you how to respond to a brief and work with others.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

I loved all of the additional opportunities Lancaster offers outside your degree - I was heavily involved in the student TV station and the academic representation system among other things. These are not only fun and great ways to make friends, but also provide lots of other boosts to your CV.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

Lancaster is a beautiful city full of great food and entertainment! Beyond the city, there is something for everyone - the sea over in Morecambe, loads of great walks (especially in the Lake District!) and direct transport links to other big cities like Manchester. Lancaster has everything! 

What impact did scholarships or funding have on your degree experience?

The scholarship I received for my Masters was vital - I probably wouldn't have been able to come back to education without it.
