Why did you choose to study at LUMS?
I’ve always been interested in studying at a university that would challenge me academically while giving me opportunities to grow personally. LUMS stood out because of its strong reputation, diverse community, and emphasis on leadership and innovation. I felt it was the right place to develop both my academic knowledge and the confidence to pursue my future goals.
What was the best thing about your course?
The best thing about my course was how it combined analytical thinking with practical business applications. It gave me the opportunity to solve real-world problems, work on industry-focused projects, and develop both my technical and communication skills. It also helped me discover my passion for combining data with marketing, which inspired me to continue my studies with a master's degree.
What/who inspired you most at LUMS and why?
The people who inspired me the most were my lecturers and the Student Ambassador team. My lecturers encouraged me to think critically and challenge myself, while my colleagues and supervisors, as a Student Ambassador, showed me the value of leadership, teamwork, and supporting others. Together, they helped me grow both academically and personally.
Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?
During my studies, I completed a Customer Experience (CX) internship at Saudi National Bank, where I gained practical insight into improving customer journeys and supporting digital service initiatives. Alongside this, my role as a Lancaster University Student Ambassador helped me develop strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while representing the university. These experiences allowed me to apply what I learned in the classroom to real-world situations and gave me greater confidence in my career aspirations.
