Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

Whilst attending the LUMS Open Day, I was particularly impressed by the careers provision. Paul McCormick’s session highlighted how proactively LUMS opens doors into the City, offering guidance and employer connections.

What was the best thing about your course?

Accounting and Finance modules provided practical skills which were directly applicable to work experience.

What/who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

I found the many alumni who started their journey at LUMs most inspiring.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?

I undertook a placement at AXA Investment Managers. I gained direct transaction experience, which has formed the basis of further opportunities.

Describe your time at LUMS in three words.

Ambitious. Connected. Transformative.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

Whilst undertaking my placement, I found myself working with an inspiring team who became friends as well as colleagues.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

The finance society provided deep insight into the roles I went on to experience. The student-led Ghosal investment fund provided practical skills and experience.
