Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

I already knew Lancaster quite well after doing my undergraduate degree here. But LUMS’ international reputation also attracted me. I live close by so it seemed silly to travel to another city when one of the world’s best management schools is right on your doorstep!

Why did you choose your particular programme?

The combination of IT and management skills appealed to me quite a lot. I hope that I will be able to find work in the IT sector after I graduate, as it’s such a big growth sector and there are always good opportunities for people with the right skills.

What are you enjoying most about your programme?

I’ve enjoyed pushing myself on some of the assignments – you have to think for yourself quite a lot and write a big variety of stuff. We also do a large amount of group work which can be stressful but it has really taught me how to work with other people. We’re quite a tight-knit group (there are only 21 of us and we all go to the same classes) which means everyone on the course has become good friends.

Tell us about your best Lancaster moment so far.

The activity days in Coldwell Activity Centre were a lot of fun and I think I got to know the rest of the group really well during those sessions.

What are you plans after graduating from LUMS?

I hope to get a good job in the technology sector, hopefully leading to a management position somewhere down the road.
