What attracted you to the MSc in Leadership Practice and Responsibility?

I was looking for an executive/post-experience programme in Leadership Studies in the UK which had a blended learning format combining in-campus modules with online learning. Also, because work was taking me to the UK two or three times a year.

What are you hoping to gain from the programme?

Reflective learning and improvement in leadership practice for myself, as well as a reasonable grasp of academic learning (theories/concepts) in leadership studies. The latter more as a grounding or a way in for a potential PhD at a later date either, in leadership studies or in a related discipline.

How are you finding the programme?

I have found the course quite exciting so far. The online aspects have all been generally useful and positive – especially the Panoptos and WebEx sessions since you can always go back and go through it again. The e-library is good too once you get used to its workings, thanks to Andy’s briefing!

The Action Learning Sets are sometimes good if someone has a particularly pressing issue to discuss, but in the overall scheme of things, I don’t see it as a critical must-have for the programme. What has been more useful is the discussant pairs (or trio in my case) approach that we adopted for module 3.
