My Easter break at Lancaster
Posted on

Hi everyone!
I hope you’ve all had a restful and enjoyable break! I’m now back at Lancaster after a short holiday, and it feels great to settle back into the campus life—especially when the spring sunshine is making everything feel that bit more optimistic!
Over the break, I've explored places around Lancaster like Durham, Windermere and lake district. Lovely places. I also have good loads of assignments to work on, making it a very productive break at same time. meanwhile, I utilized the time to get properly stuck into my dissertation. I’m exploring work-life balance from the perspective of Indian corporate employees, which is something I’m really passionate about. currently am planning on interviews, and soon I'll be in the thick of analysing all the data. It’s a lot of work, but also incredibly rewarding especially when you start seeing patterns and insights come together.
As We don’t have traditional “exams” in every module on the OWT programs, but there’s a mix of essays, reports, and presentations depending on the course. It definitely keeps things interesting! Like my course HRM this semester is all about essays and reports, which is a unique sort of experience for me.
One thing I’d say to offer holders thinking about joining us here is that there’s a lot of support available from dissertation supervisors to careers advice and the OWT department really encourages you to pursue your own interests. It’s a great place to challenge yourself while also feeling part of a community.
