James Verrier MBE
Mr Verrier served as President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors for BorgWarner, Inc. from January 1, 2013, to July 31, 2018. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of the company from March through December 2012. From January 2010 to March 2012, he was Vice President of the company, and President and General Manager of BorgWarner Morse TEC Inc. He was Vice President and General Manager, Passenger Car for BorgWarner Turbo Systems Inc. from January 2006 to January 2010.
Upon joining the company in 1989, Mr Verrier held positions of increasing responsibility, including assignments in quality control, human resources and operations management. Before joining BorgWarner, he worked in the quality engineering and metallurgy fields at Lucas Aerospace, Rockwell Automotive and Britax Wingard in the United Kingdom (UK).
Mr Verrier currently serves on the Board of Directors of Parker Hannifin Corporation, a global leader in precision-engineered solutions for mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI), the Board of Directors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), and a member of the Business Roundtable (BRT). Mr Verrier served on the 2016 Campaign Cabinet of the United Way for Southeast Michigan and was honoured as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 in the automotive category in the Michigan and Northwest Ohio region.
Mr Verrier holds a degree in metallurgy and materials science from West Midlands College and an MBA from the University of Glamorgan (currently known as the University of South Wales), both in the UK.
