In order to progress to the interview stage you need to submit a personal statement. This should be attached to your application as a Word document, and be around 500 words in length. Make sure you include:

• Demonstration of strong business experience, and that you have held significant managerial responsibilities.
• Evidence of any achievements in your professional life. Eg: consistently performing at a high level, consistent career progression, and any impact that you have had on your organisation.
• Professional skills that you have developed. Eg: teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, negotiating, or analytical skills.
• How you will contribute to your class and what experiences you can bring to Lancaster. Eg: international work experience, any entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial activities that you have been involved in, and why you would like to study for your MBA at Lancaster University Management School.

1. Your CV should be no longer than two pages.
2. Head it with your name (not Curriculum Vitae) and a four/five line summary of your profile.
3. List your work roles in reverse chronological order, giving for each one:
   Company name, your role and dates of holding this position.
   A short outline (one line) on the sector and size (employees, operating countries) of the company.
   A bullet point list of your work including examples of your achievements, the impact you have made using your work skills and any managerial responsibility you have had. Do not reproduce your job description or list your responsibilities – we are interested to hear what you have actually achieved in your role.
4. Do not leave any gaps (if you have been travelling or stopped work for family reasons, please say so).
5. List your degrees and other qualifications in reverse chronological order.
6. Summarise any relevant volunteering or other activities/hobbies.
