We are delighted to welcome Dr Dhara Shah from Deakin Business School to Lancaster University Management School.

Dr Shah will visit LUMS from 1 - 5 June 2026 as part of The Academy for Gender Equality and Social Justice Research in Organisations’ research seminar series.

As part of her visit, Dr Shah will present her latest research: Empowering Change: A Comparative Exploration of Women Social Entrepreneurs’ Motivations and Challenges Across Three Nations

Dr Shah is the Director of the Women and Inclusive Entrepreneurship Hub, a Deakin Business School-led international alliance involving Lancaster University Management School alongside partners in India, France, Sweden, and the UK. The Hub focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs and marginalised groups through interdisciplinary research, policy engagement, training, workshops, and global collaboration.

Alongside her academic leadership, Dr Shah serves as Director of Partnerships and Engagement and National Education Lead for the Australia–India Business Council. Her work spans gender equality, diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration, with publications appearing in leading journals including the Journal of Business Research and Journal of World Business.

During her time at LUMS, Dr Shah will also be available for informal drop-in discussions with colleagues and PhD students interested in related areas of research and collaboration.
