Alumni from four decades attend Athens reunion
12 April 2016
More than 40 LUMS alumni in Greece came together for an evening reunion at the Athens Gate Hotel, on 21st March.
The attendees, from four decades of graduation years, enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and to make new contacts. The panoramic city view from the hotel’s Roof Top Restaurant provided a stunning backdrop to conversations about Lancaster memories and updates about the attendees’ more recent experiences.
The event, part of a series of annual Athens reunions, was hosted by Jackie Clifton (Masters Programmes Co-ordinator) and Professor Konstantinos Zografos, from LUMS’ Management Science Department.
Our thanks to recent graduate Lito Rigopoulou (MSc Operational Research and Management Science, 2014) for her help organising the event.
A number of prospective Lancaster University Management School students also attended the event, benefiting from this unique opportunity to speak with the alumni and learn from their first-hand Lancaster experiences.
Jackie commented: “It was lovely to see so many of our alumni at this event and to have provided them with a reason to get together again. It’s great that we can also meet and support some of our next generation of LUMS students at these events.”
