18th IIF Workshop on Forecasting New Products and Services

Our colleagues from the International Institute for Forecasters (IIF) are organising a Workshop on Forecasting New Products and Services; with focus on both research and applications. The workshop takes place on May 12th and 13th, 2016 in Milan.
The present call for papers intends to collect contributions discussing academic research aimed at developing and improving forecasting techniques, as well as practitioners’ strategies to tackle this issue.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Methods and models for forecasting new product/service requirements
- Scientific techniques and industrial practices to disclose latent needs
- Dynamics of customer preferences
- Anticipatory identification of other stakeholders influential on the innovation diffusion process
- Management of uncertainties related to future customer requirements
- Forecasting-based decision-making in industrial settings
- Successful forecasting strategies to guide innovation initiatives
- Effect of social and environmental forces in shaping new product/service development
- Potential technology evolution and technology-pushed product/service innovation
- Leveraging creativity to anticipate future products/services
- Fostering vision to guide long-term innovations
- Prediction of product success in the early design phases
