Stephen Bevan and Michael West

Two Lancaster academics have been named in the top 20 of HR Magazine’s "Most Influential Thinker 2015" list.

Professor Stephen Bevan, the Director of Research at Lancaster University’s Work Foundation, is ranked 14th, while Management School Professor of Organisational Psychology Michael West is ranked 16th.

The individuals on the list are those who have made the most "significant impact on the HR landscape in the past year".

For the first time, the list has been compiled from both the "HR Most Influential UK" and "International Thinkers" lists, making the achievement even more prestigious.

Professor Stephen Bevan said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised in this prestigious list, and to be in such august company. I see it as recognition of the impact that The Work Foundation is seeking to have on the way the challenges of modern workplaces are being addressed by employers and policy-makers.”

Professor Michael West added: “It is an honour to be included in the list of HR Most Influential. Lancaster University is having a powerful influence in encouraging organisations across the UK to create work environments that enable the people who work within them to thrive and fulfil their potential. It is a privilege to contribute to that work.”
