LUMS welcomes International Students

Study abroad students arrive at LUMS

11 October 2016

The Management School welcomed international exchange students from across the globe at an event last week.

Over 50 students from Europe, Asia, North America, Australia and New Zealand attended a lively welcome event on Thursday. The students played Cultural Bingo before teaming up to play an international themed quiz. The team that scooped the prize included students of five different nationalities.

Leanne Munroe, Partnerships and Mobility Coordinator, said: “LUMS has partnerships with leading universities and business schools all over the world. It is a pleasure to welcome brilliant students from over thirty different universities to Lancaster. It demonstrates that LUMS continues to bring together the global business leaders of the future!

"Studying abroad is an option for most LUMS students and is an amazing opportunity to expand your horizons, develop employability, experience a different academic system and make new friends."

Whilst LUMS welcomes international students to Lancaster, it also sends Lancaster students abroad to our partners. This year, over 20 LUMS postgraduate students and 45 undergraduates will be starting their exchange period in countries as widespread as Brazil, China, Taiwan, the USA, and Thailand.

For students interested in studying abroad, there will be introductory talks held in Michaelmas term:
