Austrian based alumni were welcomed to the Onyx Bar at Stephansplatz, Vienna to catch up with old friends and to make new ones during a Lancaster University reunion held on Thursday 22nd October 2015. This was the first alumni reunion Lancaster University have held in Austria.

Attendees ranged from those who had graduated with an MBA in 1994 through to a 2013 graduate.

Rory Daly, LUMS Placements and Internships Manager, who hosted the event, said: "It was a very enjoyable evening with some great reflections on life at Lancaster. Everyone had their favourite memories of Lancaster and spoke highly of their time there. They were particularly interested in hearing about the major changes on campus such as the Sports Centre and the new Engineering Building.”

As this was the first alumni event held in Austria, the attendees decided to create a ‘Lancaster in Vienna’ group and to start to meet regularly.
