Dr David Torrez Sanchez, CENTRAL Senior Research Associate (OR-MASTER) has received the INFORMS Aviation Applications Section dissertation award for 2020. His PhD thesis titled “Optimising Airline Maintenance Scheduling Decisions” was co-supervised by Professor Konstantinos G. Zografos and Dr. Burak Boyaci.

Dr David Torrez Sanchez has also been appointed as the editor of the INFORMS Aviation Application Section newsletter for 2021.
