CENTRAL participate in LUMS research conference


LUMS Space Programme

On September 26th Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) organised a Faculty Research Conference. It was a multidisciplinary event that showcased research from across the School.Among the sessions of the conference a doctoral poster competition was organised. CENTRAL’s students had the opportunity to present their research and get feedback from a diverse audience. Especially, our centre was represented in the competition by the posters of three doctoral students:

  • R. Seyma Bekli supervised by Dr Burak Boyaci and Professor Konstantinos G. Zografos presented a poster titled ‘Implementing Fast Chargers to One Way electric car-sharing systems’;
  • Qorib Munajat supervised by Professor Juliana Sutanto, Professor Konstantinos G. Zografos and Professor Monideepa Tarafdar presented a poster titled ‘Decision making in disaster management: efficiency or fairness?’; and
  • Fotios A. Katsigiannis supervised by Professor Konstantinos G. Zografos presented a poster titled ‘A k-best schedule algorithm for supporting airport slot scheduling’.

The poster of Fotios received the first award in the competition, while all posters submitted by CENTRAL’s PhD students received positive feedback.
