Lancaster University wins AICPA & CIMA Excellence Award

Lancaster University won a Regional Silver (Pass Rate Excellence - Strategic Level) at the third edition of the AICPA & CIMA Excellence Awards last month in recognition of it's Pass rate excellence in CIMA Strategic Level exams.

The annual Excellence Awards recognise educational institutions and individuals across the globe who work tirelessly to support candidates through their journey towards becoming Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA designation holders) and shape the future of the global accounting and finance profession.

Dr Wendy Beekes, Part II Director of Studies in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School, said: “This is excellent news! We are very proud of our graduates for doing so well in their CIMA Professional examinations. This award recognises their excellent achievements.”

Tanya Parry, Careers Coach for Accountancy at Lancaster University Management School, said: “Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with CIMA is an absolute priority for the School. Our alumni who go on to study the qualification are thriving in their careers and obtaining top positions in large firms and multinational organisations. We are proud to be recipients of a CIMA Excellence Award for 2022 and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2023 and beyond.”

More than 650 applications and nominations from educational institutions and individuals were submitted this year for consideration in four categories Teaching Excellence Award, Research Excellence Award, Campus Culture Excellence Award and Employability Excellence Award.
