Networking events bring MBA alumni together

MBA alumni event

The current class of full-time MBA students visited the capital at the beginning of June as part of the Career Advancement Programme. During their weeklong visit, they attended the annual MBA dinner, which was held this year at the Museum of London Docklands and hosted by Dr Peter Lenney, Director of the full-time MBA.

Alumni and corporate partners of the MBA attend the dinner, providing invaluable business networking for all. This is the 3rd year the event has taken place and it continues to grow and develop. In previous years, the event has been held at London Zoo and on board HMS Belfast.

Matt Oliver, alumnus from 2015 commented: ‘I had a fantastic night, it brought back many happy memories of one of the happiest and most challenging years of my life.’

In Manchester, MBA alumni were joined by other Lancaster University graduates for a guest speaker and networking event hosted by Chris Saunders, Director of the Executive MBA.

This event, which took place at the Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays, featured inspirational speaker Michael Finnigan, founder of i2i - Impossible 2 Inevitable, which specialises in professional training and coaching. Michael gave a thought-provoking talk on ‘Developing a Winning Mindset’, which left the attendees with lots to think and talk about.

Chris Saunders was delighted with the response from all who attended: ‘The event at the Lowry was an excellent evening in the company of our wonderful alumni from across the University. The talk by Michael Finnigan was of the highest quality. It certainly inspired me, and I am sure Michael inspired many of the alumni who attended.’
