Participation of CENTRAL academics in EURO2021

Professor Zografos is organizing the OR in Aviation and the Combinatorial Optimization streams in the upcoming 31st European Conference on Operational Research (EURO 2021). Professor Zografos will be chairing the following sessions.

  • Airport Capacity Management (OR in Aviation stream)
  • Vehicle Routing and Scheduling (Combinatorial Optimization stream)

In the session on ‘Airport Capacity Management’, Fotis Katsigiannis (PhD student) and Konstantinos Zografos will give a talk on “Achieving allocation stability in airport slot scheduling decisions”. The session on Vehicle Routing and Scheduling will host the following presentations from CENTRAL members:

  • Qorib Munajat (PhD student), Konstantinos Zografos and Juliana Sutanto will present “A two-stage Mixed-Integer Linear Programming model for the fair and efficient allocation and distribution of disaster relief supplies”
  • Seyma Bekli (PhD student), Burak Boyaci and Konstantinos Zografos will present “An Integer Programming Time-Space-Battery Level Model For Locating Fast Chargers in One-way Electric Carsharing Systems”

In addition to the above talks, David Torres Sanchez, Burak Boyaci and Konstantinos Zografos will present “A column generation based hyper-heuristic algorithm for solving the aircraft recovery problem” in the OR in Aviation 2 session.
