The third Virtual Asia Careers Fair at Lancaster University Management School helped students prepare to navigate the graduate recruitment market across Asia, the UK and beyond.

Around 400 students attended the live sessions over two days, delivered in collaboration with Lancaster University Confucius Institute, with more than 1,000 livestreams extending its reach.

The fair brought together students, employers, university partners and colleagues, and delivered direct employer insight for attendees, providing them with greater access to opportunities for when they have completed their studies.

Employers shared current opportunities alongside a practical look into recruitment timelines, the skills and experience they value, and how students can prepare effectively for graduate recruitment across different markets.

May Wang, International Careers Manager in Lancaster University Management School Careers Team, led the initiative. Sessions were hosted in both English and Mandarin, including employer discussions and live student Q&As. Dr Derek Hird, Director of the Lancaster University Confucius Institute, opened and closed the event.

The four-hour Mandarin-speaking session brought together 14 employers. It was followed by a three-hour English-speaking session, featuring 11 employers.

Participating organisations included China Mobile International Limited, CPA Australia, AlphaSights, Third Bridge Group, FDM Group, Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB), JPMorganChase, Dell Technologies, British Council, EY Hong Kong, PwC Hong Kong, Decathlon, Zhejiang NHU Special Materials Co., Ltd., Michael Page, Huaqin Technology, SHEIN, Midea Group, HONOR, JLR, Lockin U, and Fast Retailing.
