Students impress with business strategy

The winning Team Excel stand with the judges

Lancaster University Management School business students grabbed the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business consultancy in a competition that rewarded the winners with an invaluable prize.

The annual LUMS Consultancy Case Competition, organised by LUMS Careers in collaboration with Accenture and with the generous backing of the LUMS Investors in Excellence scheme, involved students from across the School.

Competitors from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were challenged to develop and present innovative business solutions. The final pitches were evaluated by judges including Rory Daly, Head of LUMS Careers; and Mo Shahidinejad, Proposition Owner and Project Manager at Accenture.

“This event would not have been possible without the generosity of the LUMS Investors in Excellence and Accenture,” said Rory. “Their support means that the winning students can benefit from a wonderful prize offered by Accenture.”

After intense competition, Team Excel, made up of Youssef, Princeton, Isaac, and James, impressed the judges with their strategic recommendations to emerge as winners.

As part of their prize, Accenture will host the quartet for an exclusive insight experience at their London headquarters, providing indispensable exposure to the inner workings of the firm.
