The Economics Department are delighted to host the IO Day in Lancaster Workshop
We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming Industrial Organization themed research event on Wednesday 13 May. Please find the programme attached. The workshop is intended to bring together diverse perspectives in industrial organization, and we very much hope it will provide a useful opportunity for colleagues across Economics and the Management School to engage with ongoing research and exchange ideas.
Our keynote speaker, Nick de Roos (University of Liverpool), is a leading scholar in industrial organisation, with influential work on collusion, pricing, and market dynamics published in top journals such as the American Economic Review and the Journal of Political Economy. In addition to his research contributions, he serves as Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and Co-editor of The Economic Record.
Following the talks, we will gather informally at the Lancaster House Hotel (bar area), where Nick will share his experiences as an editor. There will also be a representative from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), who will discuss what it’s like to work at the CMA. This informal gathering should be particularly interesting for postgraduate students and early career academics.
We very much hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an engaging and collegial event.
