In this seminar, Professor Oded Shenkar will address the question of when a theory is a theory, and when it is not.
Professo Shenkar will examine the range between theory application and theory development, why management theories often fail fundamental scientific standards yet still become mainstream, and why do we keep piling new theories on top of old one. He will also consider how these issues relate to the way academic performance is judged.
