The group collaborates with a diverse range of professional firms, including RSM, Azets, CIMA, and ICAEW, to provide workshops and revision sessions that foster open discussions about academic topics to encourage learning and consolidate your knowledge.
Careers Advancement Network Society
The Careers Advancement Network Society (CAN Soc) is designed to prepare students to succeed in intern and graduate applications by elevating the Lancaster University student voice within the careers space. This is achieved through their three strategic objectives: raising awareness of career opportunities available to students, providing students with resources and training to succeed in applications, and empowering students from all diverse backgrounds with employability.
Economics and Finance Society
Lancaster University Economics and Finance Society creates a space for students passionate about economics and finance and brings together consulting, accounting, business, and investing into one community. The society’s mission is to increase members’ financial knowledge and awareness of career opportunities in the sector while fostering professional connections. Their events include the Lancaster Forum, which offers members unique opportunities to network with industry professionals from leading firms such as Jefferies, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, Barings, EY Parthenon, and more.

Enactus Lancaster
Enactus Lancaster are a community of students, academics and business leaders who believe that the power of business can solve the world's most challenging social and environmental problems. The group lives by the philosophy of "feed a man a fish, and he will eat for a day; teach him how to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime", a principle they implement throughout their social enterprises. Enactus runs a range of projects each year and is sponsored by businesses including: Unilever, KPMG, Amazon, Barclays, SAP, EY, Visa, Ford and many more.

Lancaster University Entrepreneurship Society has a mission of inspiring students to see the potential in entrepreneurship and teaching them about the fundamentals of the business start-up process. The group engages successful entrepreneurs in events, as well as organising challenging business games and competitions. The society is a forum where students can come together as a community, with possibilities to share, improve and realise potential business ideas through workshops, competitions and speakers.
Marketing and Advertising Society
The Marketing and Advertising Society is for students aspiring to excel in marketing, advertising, and branding. Through workshops, industry events, and socials, the society equips students with practical skills, industry knowledge, and networking opportunities. The society aims to foster an inclusive community and encourage members to stay informed about trends in marketing and branding. Members gain access to valuable resources and opportunities to support their academic and professional ambitions.
Women in Business Society
Lancaster University Women in Business Society supports and encourages ambitious and aspiring women by helping to improve their business skills and, consequently, their career prospects. Through events, the group helps to increase members’ understanding of business and entrepreneurship, introduce members to the vast variety of opportunities available to them during and after university, and improve a range of important skills, such as networking and commercial awareness. The society runs a weekly newsletter highlighting the upcoming opportunities that students can get involved with, such as industry events, employability and self-growth sessions, and girls' night events.
