Travelling to campus

Travel bursary

A contribution towards travel costs is available for offer holders attending an Offer Holder Event on campus, depending on how far away you live from the University. At LUMS, we strive to be as environmentally considerate as possible. We would like to encourage our guests to choose the most environmentally friendly way to travel, where possible.

Distance (miles) Amount payable
Up to 20 £10
21 - 75 £20.00
76 - 50 £30.00
Over 150 £50.00

A postcode and/or travel ticket will be needed for verification.

You will be asked to complete a travel form on the day, and the postcode provided will be checked against the address listed on your UCAS application.

You will then receive an email from the Finance Team with instructions on how to claim the bursary. We encourage you to check your junk folder in case the email is filtered there. Please note that payment processing can take a few weeks.

Accommodation

We understand that distance can be a significant barrier for families who wish to visit the University, and we want to make your visit as stress-free as possible. That's why we're pleased to offer eligible families a one-night complimentary stay for up to two people in a twin room in our guest accommodation. If you reside far away* and are eligible for this offer, contact our Recruitment Team, and we will arrange the details with you.

* To qualify for the complimentary one-night stay, offer holders must reside at least 150 miles from the University. Eligibility will be determined based on the postal code provided in your UCAS application, and rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
