Drupad ParmarPhD student
I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Durham University, before completing a Master's degree entitled Applicable Mathematics at the London School of Economics. Following this I undertook a data analysis internship in a software testing team at Vodafone HQ and during this time I also tutored students in both GCSE and A-level mathematics. I joined STOR-i in 2018 and have recently begun my first year as a PhD student.
My PhD project focuses on input uncertainty within stochastic simulation models, and I am supervised by Lucy Morgan, Richard Williams and Andrew Titman at Lancaster University and Susan Sanchez at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. In particular, we are interested in developing new methodology for quantifying input uncertainty in large-scale simulation models, as existing methodologies struggle to deal with many of the challenges that arise in such models and hence suffer from a lack of scalability.
