Lancaster ranked top 15 in all major UK league tables and no 1 in North West

Lancaster University is ranked number one in the North West and 14th in the UK out of 131 universities, according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.

The University is consistently placed in the top 15 in all major UK league tables, as well as being highly ranked in international league tables such as the QS World Rankings.

In addition, The Times league table places 10 subjects at Lancaster in the top 10. These include Linguistics 2nd, Social Work 3rd, Art and Design 4th, Subjects allied to medicine 5th, Drama, Dance and Cinematics 5th, Physics and Astronomy 6th, Sports Science 6th, Communication and Media Studies 6th, Natural Sciences 7th and Creative Writing 8th.

Lancaster is currently in the top 10 in the Complete University Guide 2024 and 11th in the UK and top in the North West in The Guardian league table. In addition, Lancaster was named as University of the Year in the Educate North awards 2023.
