A week in the life of a Chinese student
Posted on
As a Chinese student studying MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Lancaster University Management School, my week is a balance between studying, staying active, and exploring life in the UK.
Monday usually begins with lectures on campus, covering topics such as supply chain strategy and operations management. Classes are interactive, and I enjoy sharing ideas with classmates from different countries.
Tuesday and Wednesday are often busy with seminars, group work, and independent study. After class, I usually go to the library to review materials or work on assignments.
On Thursday, I like to keep a productive routine. In the evening, I often go to the campus gym, which is well-equipped with a wide range of machines, free weights, and fitness classes. The environment is welcoming, and it’s a great place to relax after studying while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Friday evenings are more relaxed. Sometimes I cook Chinese food with friends, which reminds me of home.
Saturday is perfect for exploring. Recently, I took a day trip to Liverpool with a few classmates. We travelled by train, which was convenient and took about an hour. In Liverpool, we walked along the waterfront, visited museums, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. I have also visited other cities like Manchester, which makes studying in Lancaster even more exciting.
On Sunday, I prepare for the week ahead and call my family in China.
