Attendance to the symposium does not attract a registration fee however participants are expected to cover their

The symposium will bring together leading researchers, accounting professionals and policymakers to discuss contemporary issues in accounting research and their implications for policy making.
The Department of Accounting and Finance at the Lancaster University is delighted to announce that the 1st Lancaster University Accounting Research and Policy Symposium, will be held on 24 April 2026 (Friday), at Lancaster Castle in the historical city of Lancaster.
The symposium will bring together leading researchers, accounting professionals and policymakers to discuss contemporary issues in accounting research and their implications for policy making.
We invite the submission of papers on all topics of accounting that are relevant to the accounting standard setters and other policy makers. Paper selection will be based on novelty and contribution to the accounting literature and policy making. Submitted papers must not have been previously published.
