Visiting ResearcherResearch Overview
My research examines how supply networks and operations are organized and managed in contexts shaped by temporariness, complexity, diversity, and structural constraints, particularly in empirical settings such as humanitarian crises, mega-events, and climate-related disruptions. Technology and information systems are an integral part of this agenda. I study how digital technologies enable collective action in temporary and resource-constrained environments, how they mediate relationships across organizational boundaries, and how their use evolves as networks emerge and dissolve. More recently, I have extended this line of inquiry to engage more directly with sustainability, nature, and indigenous knowledge. I am interested in how operations and supply networks can be designed in ways that are environmentally grounded, socially inclusive, and attentive to local epistemologies, especially in Global South contexts. This includes exploring how digital technologies intersect with community practices, how traditional knowledge systems coexist with contemporary organizational forms, and how broader sustainability ecosystems can be orchestrated to support nature preservation and regeneration.
