Research Overview

Emmanuel Tawiah Bissah is a PhD candidate at Lancaster University Management School, where his interdisciplinary research focuses on circular economy based reverse logistics and the role of promtions in driving successful circular economy transition and sustainable plastic waste management. His PhD research explores the interactivity and the interplay of multilevel pressures(micro, meso and macro) that influence the adoption of circular economy practices with a particular interest in transforming waste to wealth especially plastics waste.

Theoretically, Emmanuel draw from network theory and institutional theory to address the pressing global challlenges unsustainable production and consumption. Emmanuel is currently advancing network theory by introducting network pressure framework to provide a comprehensive understanding on how pressures interact and how organisations respond to interactive multilevel network pressures within and outside an organisational wide network.
