Honorary Researcher

Research Overview

Igor graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1997 and received his PhD from the Institute of Numerical Mathematics (Russian Academy of Sciences) in 2001. His thesis topic was "Attractors and Unstable Periodic Solutions of Finite-Dimensional Hydrodynamical Models."

For more than a decade, Igor led forecasting and S&OP processes in various CPG companies, being responsible for forecast creation and improvement, as well as for forecasting software implementation. After several successful implementations of in-house Demand Planning and Promo Management systems, Igor decided to devote his efforts to creating enterprise forecasting and demand planning software to rival market leaders.

In 2013, Igor joined GoodsForecast, an IBP software vendor, where he developed a new concept of Forecasting Support Systems based on multidimensional forecasting. He oversaw the FSS development from inception to launch, serving as the product owner, team leader, and business analyst. He further directed multiple FSS implementation projects for various enterprise companies.

Igor is a member of the Foresight (International Journal of Applied Forecasting) Advisory Board. His area of scientific interest includes multidimensional forecasting, i.e., forecasting on different levels across data hierarchies with further reconciliation.

Igor is a frequent Foresight contributor and author of the book “Sales Analysis and Planning for FMCG Companies” (2014).
