Dr Mike Ryder

Lecturer in Marketing

Research Overview

My interdisciplinary research explores the way 'life' is created and sustained as a discursive construct. In particular, I am interested in biopolitics and the works of Foucault, Agamben, Derrida and Deleuze applied to our understanding of artificial forms of life, including robots and AI, and how these are framed relative to the human.
