Lecturer in MarketingResearch Overview
My interdisciplinary research sits at the intersection between literature, philosophy, history, technology studies and social science. I also conduct practice-based research relating to digital marketing and reflective practice / work-based learning.
I am particularly interested in the impact of new technologies, and the philosophical relationship between humans and machines.
Keywords: biopolitics, technology, consumption, science fiction, robots, AI, drones, ethics, war.
Career Details
Prior to my life as an academic I worked as a content writer in the video games industry, and professional ghostwriter in the healthcare sector. More recently, I have worked in digital communications and marketing at various HE institutions including Lancaster, UCLan and CCCU.
Current Teaching
I currently teach on the following modules:
- MKTG232: Advertising
- MKTG233: Digital Marketing
- MKTG234: Social Media (co-module leader)
- MKTG411: Digital Marketing (module leader)
I am also Academic Tutor for x3 cohorts of students studying BSc Marketing & Design and BSc Advertising & Marketing, and supervise various student projects on our MSc programmes.
