Stuart Fell – Teaching Fellow, Consultant, Coach and Mentor

Stuart Fell is a Teaching Fellow at Lancaster University Management School, where he contributes to the Executive Education team by delivering modules and workshops (ILEs) designed for senior leaders. He presents the SLA7094 Strategic Business Proposal module and was the author and lead tutor for the Financial Strategy for Managers module within the Senior Leaders Masters Degree Apprenticeship (SLMDA). He also supports the Accounting & Finance for Managers module on the Senior Leaders Apprenticeship (SLA).

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Stuart mentors learners across both SLMDA and SLA programmes and actively supports the Help to Grow 12-week business initiative, aimed at enhancing SME leadership and strategic capability.

Based in Preston, Stuart brings over four decades of experience in banking, including 30 years as a Corporate Manager. His career has spanned advising a wide range of organisations—from sole traders and family-run enterprises to large national firms—giving him deep insight into the financial and strategic challenges faced by SMEs.

Alongside his academic role, Stuart works as a Business & Financial Consultant, helping small and medium-sized enterprises navigate growth, planning, and financial strategy. His consultancy is grounded in the practical wisdom gained from more than 40 years of industry experience.
