Open source software such as R is becoming more and more popular among practitioners. But has the time come to switch business to R?

One of the advantages of open source software is that they contain the latest academic methods. In this workshop, we will look into the opportunities that the statistical software R is offering to companies, the road to implementation and potential issues: What enables good solutions? What to be careful of? We will also highlight a number of existing solutions that reliably solve common business forecasting problems and business cases from R users. The workshop is organised by the Centre for Marketing Analytics and Forecasting, Lancaster University that has authored multiple packages for R geared at solving business forecasting problems, widely used in industry. More details about the event are available on the registration page.
