Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

LUMS is one of the best management schools in the UK and over the world. They encourage experiential learning / action-based learning, which is what I was seeking.

What was the best thing about your course?

MSc in Project Management emphasises action-based learning and provides opportunities to do projects externally with companies, which allows the students to experience real project management environments.

What/ who inspired you most at LUMS and why?

The professors and teachers inspired me the most as, apart from teaching, they also work for various, great companies, industrial and government departments which inspired me how brilliant they are.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?

I did a project with a company during my dissertation. It involved every single stage of project management, not only the hard skills such as planning and project execution but also required soft skills, e.g. communication, stakeholder management, and team management as well. Doing a project here was a challenge as we were required to use as many skills as we could, and it was interesting to see the result at the end of the project to reflect and improve.

Describe your time at LUMS in three words.

Challenging, Exciting, Experiencing.

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

The group work is the best memory I have. Throughout the project management degree I have learned a lot. The courses are designed perfectly to give various experiences to the students.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

Lancaster is a peaceful place, not crowded but it has everything we need. I am now living and working in other areas of the UK but can't deny that Lancaster is still my No.1.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

The action-based experience I gained during my degree was the best preparation for my job and it is the major reason I got offers in the UK after graduating as people give precedence to experience rather than a degree.
