Guest speaker event with award-winning Marketing Week columnist, Mark Ritson.
In his traditional festive countdown, Mark will review the biggest brand and marketing stories of 2022 and suggest what marketers should take from each. Delivered this year in Lancaster, Mark's talk promises to be applied, educational, and fun!
Mark Ritson is an experienced brand consultant, acclaimed lecturer, and award-winning columnist. He is a Lancaster alumnus, with two degrees from the University: BSc Marketing (1993) and PhD Marketing (1996).

Speaker bio:
Mark spent 25 years working as a marketing professor, during which time he taught at London Business School, the University of Minnesota, Melbourne Business School, MIT Sloan and SMU.
For thirteen years, he served as the in-house brand consultant for LVMH - the world's largest luxury group - working in Paris with senior executives from brands like Louis Vuitton, Dom Perignon and Hennessy. He has also worked as a global brand consultant for clients that include Baxter, Loewe, McKinsey, Subaru, Donna Karan, Westpac, Shiseido, Flight Centre, Johnson & Johnson, De Beers, Sephora, Benefit, Amgen, Ericsson, Jurlique, Cloudy Bay and WD40.
Mark is perhaps best known for his Marketing Week column. On five occasions he has been voted Columnist of the Year at the PPA Press Awards, the highest award for magazine journalism in the UK. He has also been the British Society of Magazine Editors Business Columnist of the Year, in 2018 and 2022. His scholarly publications include articles in the Sloan Management Review, Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Consumer Research.
