This presentation will cover the topic of professionalization in family ventures, and more specifically strategic routes and active decisions that are involved in this process of family ventures.

In this study we explore professionalization practices in family ventures. More specifically we are investigating this process in the long-term perspective, by looking into specific developmental business milestones connected to family ventures and exploring how these milestones affect the professionalization process. Our results show that professionalization in family ventures is not a linear process and in some cases we can even detect that actively working towards professionalization in family ventures may actually result in de-professionalization.
