Life in Lancaster

Yashika surrounded by snowfall, infront of the Lancaster University sign.

Did you ever feel overwhelmed or excited to get back to your school or university after a long, long break? It did happen with me. Although it gave me ample of time to relax after a hectic term and to explore more places that I was not able to visit during term time. I finally learned how to cook food after running so bad from it. It fostered my confidence in being a good cook after so many trials and practice.

It had been more than 5 months in Lancaster and wondered when exactly it is going to snow. Lancaster is in the northwest England near to sea which means it doesn’t snow much in here but when I got back to the next term which is the lent term in January, I was so fascinated to feel snow falling over me. It was definitely an unexpected part and it felt so magical, peaceful and beautiful. It was the first time I saw snowfall, was one of the best days in Lancaster.

My life so far in Lancaster has been smooth. I would soon be starting as a student ambassador of Lancaster University Management School. I hope to make a difference in the world with broad smile and enthusiasm. Events keep on taking place in Lancaster every week and it’s great to be a part of it. There was recently an event for people to join societies of their interest. I joined Indian society and Enactus which will help me grow in other areas other than just Academics. I look forward to grasp as much as I can and to keep enjoying the journey as I go on.
