Reflections of an MSc International Business and Strategy student

I had utterly no idea that getting out of home for the very first time would be so challenging for me. Living in a new environment with a different culture has also been frightening but exciting. It has been 3 months in Lancaster, away from my family, but I will see them soon.

With independence comes the responsibility too of doing everything on your own, but it helps you become a better version of yourself every day. "Live it or Leave it."

Mix of cultures

As an MSc International Business and Strategy student, talking and interacting with new people from different cultural backgrounds and getting to know how things work in their culture is fun. At first, it felt like too much, all at once, but it gets all right as time goes on. I’m learning something new every day and experiencing every bit of it with zeal.

Supportive atmosphere

In terms of academics, the faculty is so supportive and friendly. They try to make students comfortable in every possible way they can. Though I miss my family, the best part is that people in Lancaster treat others with great esteem and affection.

The university has got beautiful vibes with exciting events which take place often. It has also got departments like learning development and careers connect to get help with any obstacle related to academic writing, confidence building or improvement in speaking. So never hesitate to ask for help from them; they always appreciate and welcome you with open arms.

Activities for all

Apart from studies, so many societies often do events and appreciate students' active involvement as it also helps them build networking and get open and comfortable around people.

There is a vast sports centre with sports, swimming, and 3 gyms. Do what you like but even if you’ve got no interest, don't give up; try something, as you never know what might interest you ;) And become your passion.
