LUMS has launched twelve new Country Scholarships, worth up to £6,000 each, designed to support students applying from Mexico, Indonesia, Poland and Greece.

The Country Scholarships will be based on merit and also on ambassadorial potential of the applicant. The aim is to develop a network of future LUMS ambassadors who will benefit from our global outlook and strengthen our alumni community worldwide.

Through the Country Scholarships we are demonstrating our commitment to support academically excellent students from strategically significant regions.  These will change annually so that we are able to support diversity among international students planning to study in the UK.

Head of the LUMS International Office, Dr Radka Newton, who is behind this initiative said: “I was a Czech government scholar when I first came to study in the UK, and without the scholarship support I would not have been able to fulfil my dream. I am delighted to be able to continue the legacy and help the new generation of global leaders access the top-quality education in Lancaster University.”
