LUMS Professor receives Michael R. Losey award

Professor Paul Sparrow, Emeritus Professor of International HRM, has received this lifetime achievement award for his research on HR strategy and international HRM.

As the 2016 winner of the USA's Society for HRM (SHRM) Michael R. Losey Award, named in honour of the former SHRM President and CEO Michael R. Losey, Professor Sparrow was recognised for his significant past and on-going empirical research contributions that have impacted the HR management field and its application to practice. He was required to demonstrate a significant track record of contributing to the HR discipline through research and interactions with the practitioner community.

Professor Sparrow was nominated by over 20 HRM academics from around the world, and is the first winner from outside the USA. He received his award in Washington, along with a $50,000 personal prize. We would like to congratulate Paul on this well-deserved achievement, representing a fantastic milestone in his career.
