Executive Education team develops Leadership mindsets.

Executive Education Group

Executive Education in LUMS continues to attract new clients, developing the capability and capacity of practising leaders to deliver results. A recent success was the Fitch Group leadership development conference delivered to 40 senior leaders over 3 days in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Fitch Group, a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries, approached LUMS to design and deliver a leadership conference to develop the senior managers from across their European operations. The aim was to empower these executives to challenge conventional thinking, develop critical insight that drives better decision-making and promote diversity & inclusion.

The conference, designed by Neil Ralph, harnessed the strengths of LUMS’ outstanding research and teaching to develop a series of ‘mindsets’. These mindsets addressed: the practice of leadership; Why firms struggle with the timing of transformation and how middle managers can play a crucial role as instigators of strategic transformation; collaboration within and between teams; and, the practical wisdom that informs strategic judgment and managerial conduct. These practically focused workshops were developed and delivered by Neil Ralph, Professor Martin Friesl, Dr. Robyn Remke, and Dr. Peter Lenney, supported by Jackie Gaskell and colleagues in CETAD.

Fitch Group is a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries. Fitch Group is comprised of: Fitch Ratings, a global leader in credit ratings and research; Fitch Solutions, a leading provider of credit market data, analytical tools and risk services; and Fitch Learning, a preeminent training and professional development firm.
