Lancaster MBA is ranked 1st in the world for Corporate Strategy

MBA class

Our strong performance for corporate strategy in the latest Financial Times Global MBA rankings is an excellent demonstration of the critical role that this element plays throughout the Lancaster MBA. Our focus on strategy as practice is designed to make the theme of strategic management more relevant to our MBA participants, ensuring they not only benefit from a strong understanding of the theory, but also reinforce this knowledge through practical exposure to strategy development.

We have been ranked 3rd in the UK for our careers service, which is testament to the high quality of our careers support and the success our alumni have achieved. The MBA’s well-established connections with large corporate organisations in the City of London enable our students to put theory into practice, as well as establish networks that last throughout their career.

This year’s ranking is a result of data from 2014 - a year we had an unusually small cohort of students. This has a significant bearing on our position, as did the fact that many of our graduates went on to set up their own businesses, a fantastic result for our programme and for our entrepreneurial graduates, but one that unfortunately is not recognised in the rankings data.

Despite our position falling this year, Lancaster remains in the UK’s top 10, a position we have maintained for a decade.

Being placed 10th in the world for value for money is recognition of the quality of our MBA offering, and I would like to thank the MBA programme team for their commitment to delivering an exceptional MBA programme, which consistently attracts a high calibre of students from across the world.
