First-year undergraduate student, Leandro Suarez, recently received a scholarship from Lancaster University Management School to help him fund his studies in Business and Management.

On receiving this award, Leandro said:

“I am a first year student of business and management. I am from Spain and I received the news in an email in September. I didn’t expect it so I was really pleased especially as in my country it is highly complicated to receive this so it made me even more motivated to go to Lancaster University. I have to say that missing the food, the weather and the people from my country is worth it because this university is plenty of opportunities to develop myself both personal and professionally.

This scholarship will help me both economically and motivationally. I am looking forward to investing in knowledge and experience that will help me to achieve my objectives in the financial sector. Furthermore, it is a recognition for all the efforts that I do to live my dreams. I am really ambitious and as I see it the current market is highly competitive so you need to be prepared for every situation. With the money I will be able to buy courses, books and attend events that will be beneficial to pursue my career ambitions.”
