OWT Alumni workshop welcomes key figures back to LUMS

OWT alumni event

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Department of Organisation, Work and Technology (OWT) we have been hosting a diverse range of events to reflect on the past 50 years of achievements and to look forward to the Department's future developments.

As part of this celebration, the Department hosted an OWT Alumni workshop on 17th May, at Forrest Hills, welcoming several key figures back to Lancaster, including some who were present in the 1970s soon after the Department's establishment.

During the event, alumni colleagues gave presentations about their research in the Department and shared their knowledge of the evolution and development of the Department since the 1970s.

Following the event, the OWT, Head of Department, Professor James Falconbridge commented that "The discussions about research in the Department over the years highlighted how in some ways things had changed a lot, but in other ways, the concerns remain unchanged after years. The event provided an excellent opportunity to work with guests to assist with the development of the Organisation, Work and Technology 50th anniversary book capturing contributions of members of the Department, past and present."
