Research honour for LUMS Professor

Professor Marwan Izzeldin (Economics and Associate Dean, International) has received an award from a top Indian University.
The Amity Excellence Award, conferred by the Amity Business School (Uttar Pradesh), was presented in February, at Amity’s 7th Global Leadership Research Conference.
It was presented in recognition of Professor Izzeldin’s contributions to Islamic and ethical banking and his more general work in the areas of high-frequency data modelling and volatility forecasting.
With campuses across eleven states, and accorded grade A+ by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council, an autonomous body of the University Grants Commission of India, Amity is among the top private business schools in India. LUMS recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Amity and is working on collaborating on joint programmes and student and staff exchange.
Engaging and fostering collaboration with India ranks highly among strategic priorities for LUMS and Lancaster University.
